Almaty. September 11.
Information Center - An open-air archeological park will open soon in
Kazakhstan. Developers are already working on scientific concept of the Kultobe
settlement project, Kazakh-TV reports.
This was reported at a briefing in the Central
Communications Service by Director General of the Kazakh Research Institute of
Culture Andrey Khazbulatov. He said that the study of the historical site made
it possible to make a number of discoveries. “Ancient Turkistan has always
attracted the attention of researchers, starting from famous Soviet
archeologist, historian and orientalist Mikhail Masson. Based on large-scale
research works and artifacts found at the Kultobe settlement, local
orientalists speak with confidence not only about the age of Turkistan, which
is 2,000 years old, but also have material evidence of its continuous history,”
he commented. World experts highly appreciated the work on research and
promotion of Kultobe. Expert Michael Jansen said that the project
administration managed to bring together best archeologists of world and local
level into one team. It is also interesting that one of the most important
principles of UNESCO, which is the integrity of the monument, is observed here.
Cultural layers have been preserved on Kultobe at all stages of the evolution
of this important religious, cultural, economic and administrative center, not
only of Kazakhstan, but of the entire Turkic world.
